On 15 and 16 October, the Digital Talent EU Days 2026 will bring together policymakers, industry representatives, educators and digital skills experts at Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin, to discuss one of Europe's most pressing challenges: developing, attracting and retaining the talent needed for a competitive, secure digital future.

Organised by LEADSx2030 and Connecting Women in Digital, in partnership with the European Commission and other stakeholders, the event takes place alongside the European AI Innovation Month, at a time when Europe is accelerating efforts to bring artificial intelligence from the screen into the real economy and society.

Skills and talent are at the heart of this transformation, and as AI reshapes industries and professions, Europe needs a workforce capable not only of developing advanced technologies, but also of integrating and applying them effectively. This includes strengthening capabilities in AI, cybersecurity and other strategic digital areas that are essential to Europe's competitiveness, resilience and technological sovereignty.

Discussions will focus on three interconnected priorities:

- Closing digital skills gaps;

- Expanding participation in the digital workforce, particularly among women and underrepresented groups;

- Turning policy ambitions into practical action through stronger cooperation between businesses, education providers and public authorities.

The event will also explore how upskilling, reskilling and emerging skills pathways can respond to changing labour market needs, while ensuring that women play a stronger role in designing, developing and leading Europe's digital transformation.

Through workshops, debates and exchanges of good practices, the Digital Talent EU Days will provide an opportunity to connect initiatives, share lessons learned and identify practical approaches to building Europe's digital talent pipeline.
