On 27 July 2026, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1810 was published concerning the update of the list of essential substances for food-producing horses. This Regulation entered into force on the day following its publication and amends Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/901 and Regulation (EC) No 1950/2006. Commission Regulation (EC) No 1950/2006 remains applicable until and including 21 May 2027. Although the substances listed in the Annex to that Regulation may continue to be used until and including 21 May 2027 (with the exception of digoxin, dorzolamide, griseofulvin, imipramine, ketoconazole, phenytoin and ticarcillin), it is recommended, in order to ensure a high level of consumer protection, to discontinue the use of substances
